Quantum Eschaton by Gregory Peter Le Sage - A Sci-fi novel

About The Author

Gregory PETER LE SAGE

My name is Gregory Peter Le Sage, and I am a Ph.D. scientist from UCLA working for the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory at Stanford. Before that I worked for the U.S. government for sixteen years and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for ten years. I have published over 100 scientific papers. This book marks my first venture into fiction writing.

I call this story “future fact” because I believe events like these could one day become reality. I was inspired to write this story when multiple colleagues were recently hired away from SLAC by some of the biggest technology companies in the U.S. These were brilliant scientists, and I wondered how their expertise would be used by private companies. I wondered what kind of projects they would create. Then I wondered what would happen if a giant discovery occurred in a private company.

Our Vision

While National Laboratories are populated by scientists just hoping to innovate and discover, private corporations are places where sometimes dangerous ambition can be found. I thought about the interactions that my former colleagues might have in the corporate world. I wondered if their discoveries could be used for bad reasons.

Our Mission

I think the story of a misunderstood and undervalued scientist being influenced by an enigmatic and powerful businessman could lead to danger. That is the story I investigated with Quantum Eschaton.
